Aims & Objectives

The Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre ('Centre') is a non-profit making organization devoted to the cause of cultural enlightenment, a public Trust registered under The Societies Registration Act, 1860 and The Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. Its main object is to promote interest in music, dance, drama, literature, fine arts and other cultural activities. Our efforts are wholly directed towards the advancement of art.
To achieve our objective, we:

  • organize music concerts, dance recitals, cultural festivals, lectures, seminars and workshops by eminent artistes and scholars,
  • sponsor research in music, dance, drama and other performing arts,
  • impart education by conducting classes in music and dance,
  • hold competitions and award prizes and scholarships to deserving students,
  • hold memorial concerts of music, and
  • hold youth festival of music and dance
