Music is well said to be the speech of angels. Three of the seven
natural notes of the ascending musical scale-symbolising nobility
and purity of thought, word and performance. Ideals that are as
cherished by the Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre, as they are by every
true artiste and rasika.
Since its inception in 1953, the Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre
has been unfailingly presenting vocal and instrumental
recitals by top grade and up-and-coming artistes every month.
In addition to these monthly programmes DMCC organises Pandit
Bhatkhande Sangeet Samaroh, Youth
Festival of Music and Dance, Pandit
Bhatkhande Memorial Lecture Series, Competitions
and offers Scholarships
to young students under Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme.
